I have received several e-mails in response to the mini-grant application inquiring whether or not funds can be utilized for street repairs. The streets within Plantation are under the jurisdiction of Hillsborough County, and the neighborhood mini-grant funds cannot be utilized for that purpose. It is my understanding that the County prioritizes roadway repairs based on urgency and sometimes the number of complaints/concerns they receive. Although the management office can call in roadway repairs, the County is more likely to respond to calls received directly from homeowners about a particular issue. Bottom line, there is strength in numbers and the squeaky wheel gets greased!
